The rise of prudence and moral scandalizing in both extremes of the spectrum- the Christian right and the feminist left, remind me of Victorian times. They’re all  shocked and appalled and full of moral condemnation at the mention of sex or the purely sexual expression of the human condition as if it’s something that needs to be policed and follow hard norms decided by some nebulous gaggle of moral makers that get ever more extreme.
