I spent the last 72 days sober, and for fucking what? To starve to death due to a Trump war? I’m not depressed really. Just tired. The world is ending and I’m supposed to go to work? Fuck that. If I’m going to die I’m going to do it on my own. I’m not going to let the government cull me when the food runs out.

What I’m describing is in the direction of the worst-case scenario, there are many other scenarios that could unfold - nobody knows.
I personally think suicide is THE difficult moral and philosophical question, I will certainly not be claiming there is an easy answer and I don’t personally like the standard responses like “permanent solution to a temporary problem”
Why did you choose to make the difficult choice to go sober?

Hey man, the war could end before things get bad. No one knows at this point. At least stay alive long enough to see how things shake up. You never know you could be pleasantly surprised.
