Did we watch the same TV show as kids?? I wouldn’t call the invasion of Geonosis a ‘softball mission’.

Geonosis was arranged as a bit of a humbling strike. Anakin was supposed to meet and be defeated by his rival for apprentice … which is what happened.
Again, another softball as Dooku was likely instructed not to kill or harm Anakin … which explained why he looked disappointed with the arm having been lost.
