Lfrith@lemmy.ca 1 month agoBetter to get a used Thinkpad with how well those hold up being over thousand dollars, but get discounted steeply to hundreds with companies offloading them once warranty is up. Can get actual nice Ryzen CPUs and have a proper storage.

Yep, and used in this case is much better than the new cheap laptops with crappy specs.

I mean that’s often going to be the case. That’s why you don’t compare used PCs to new ones.
