Comment on "Open links in a new tab" option doesn't do anything for me

The feature was added a while back but I think it’s at least partially broken.
Like it does open in a new tab if you click the preview, but not if you click anywhere else (including other places with the same icon).
(Tested on Firefox and chromium on Android)

thanks for the explanation. would be nice if ALL links would open in a new tab, even the comment section, or opening a community link. but i guess that’s something to reported to the lemmy devs.
