Depends on what you print. If you want to print ABS/ASA, you’ll always be making compromises, but maybe with a Voron you’ll make fewer.

The comparison with commercial printers is kinda pointless, it’s like asking a car enthusiast why they’re tuning their car for the racetrack when they can buy one pre made, it’s because they want to build one.
