Will most likely not be a problem short-term but over time there will be apps that will require a newer OS version than the one you are stuck on and not stop running.
The main reason you should not do that is because of known security issues that are not fixed in your old install. So you are opening yourself up to being vulnerable for malicious software.

aw whack you’re right, when my banking app stops supporting my OS version i’ll have to update
ya i know, but i don’t really download anything on my phone or click suspicious links, i know this is not a perfect defence, but honestly, i hate UI changes more than i worry about malicious software
