Comment on What's a good audiobooks server/client combo?
DonutsRMeh@lemmy.world 2 days agoI’ll leave that part for the wife to take care since she’s the one who does audiobooks. I can’t. I will never be able to actually listen to an audiobook no matter how much I try. I don’t know if it’s my ADHD or what, but I just can’t focus.

Haha I get that. I was the same way for a long time but gave them another shot a year or so ago and now I’m hooked. They are so much more convenient than physical books

I know for a fact they’re better than a physical book, but I just can’t focus and understand them. It’s insane how my brain just blocks them. The other day, I literally even stared at the screen trying to follow the book, a couple of seconds later, I was thinking of something else. 😂. Gave up. I might need some training or something

Haha do what works for you. I was able to get into them after a long car trip where I forced myself to listen to an audiobook. After finishing it it got easier and easier the more I did it. Now I barely read physical books.
