ZeldaFreak@lemmy.world 1 day agoI once thought the same. Started with 3TB usable storage. Now my NAS has 21TB usable storage and it has less than 3TB free space available. Alone my Jellyfin Media uses 7.7TB. Another big factor is my retro game collection. Once you realize what you can do, you use more and more storage.

Okay, to all of you: I get it, more is better, same for me.
But it’s still worth starting if you can only get your hands on two used drives to run in raid 1.
