I think a lot of it is unfortunately tied to how quiet US politics is, more outrageous things happen, the worse the lemmy experience becomes.
We are just not the type to put our heads in the sand.

This is why I have multiple accounts, one for the political shit and another for just relaxing. I try to limit the political stuff.
