Comment on FBI controversial smartphone sting operation led to nearly 800 arrests in 16 countries
ToTheGraveMyLove@sh.itjust.works 16 hours agoThat wasn’t a question. Its like when you tell someone “why don’t you go fuck yourself,” you’re not wondering why they’re not fucking themselves. You’re telling them to go fuck themselves. (Not telling you to go fuck yourself btw, just the most succinct example I could think of, lol) Point being, the FBI has bigger fish to fry than worrying about crime in another goddamn country. The biggest criminal grift is happening in US history right now and they’re worrying about fucking Estonia.

What gives you the impression they’re worrying about Estonia?
The sting operation was global. They had a network of compromised “secure” phones all around the world, including the US, between 2018 and 2021. Now they share the data they already have with the rest of the world. Likely this data got handed to the prosecutors here a long time ago, but the cases only wrapped up in 2025.
As for why they aren’t frying the bigger fish - idk, if I was American I’d rather they do LESS at home because doing more work at home would mean arresting more minorities lol

You’re missing the point entirely, not sure if intentionally or not. I think it was extremely clear I’m not talking about minorities.

Yes, intentionally.
They’re not going to investigate their owner, why would they? No business ever does.
