Comment on Digg launches its new Reddit rival to the public
BlackDragon@slrpnk.net 3 days agoRanting about the untermensch to show how much I’m not a Nazi…
If you really think Nazis are subhuman, you’re not going to be prepared to do what needs to be done when the time comes. These are human people. They laugh, they cry, they have moms and dads and brothers and sisters and husbands and friends. They look just like you or me, you bump elbows with them in the grocery store. You’ve shaken their hands, made small talk with them, and laughed at their jokes.
None of that changes what must be done.

You have completely missed my point. If you insist on deluding yourself that your enemies aren’t human, you will be surprised by the reality that they are.
Quit trying to dehumanize your opponents. Not only for the reason that I keep reiterating, that it is bad strategically, but it is also ethically abhorrent.

That is correct. The evil people you have to defend yourself against are human. If you continue to delude yourself that you are only allowed to fight against that which is not human, and thus all your enemies must not be human, you will fail because of the contradictions inherent to this delusional point of view.
You need to take a principles stance against fascists, that they are fought because of what they choose to do and what their choices require of the rest of us. They aren’t born this way, you can’t find the fascism gene under a microscope, you can’t do phrenology and determine that fascists all have this or that skull shape. They’re just human. If they have to not be human for you to be willing to fight them, you will lose.
