Comment on Keir Starmer abandons plans for compulsory digital ID

  Tinkering around the edges is what it looks like. In the world we live in Starmer is happy to avoid putting the case to the people of the UK that we should be in the EU and instead is banking on “well we’ve already done deals with India and the US”. India being a country that is extremely happy to buy Russian gas on the cheap to help fuel their war against Ukraine and the US being… well the US.

  I don’t pretend it’s easy for him to do. But he’s not even trying in my mind.

    The UK is getting closer to the EU. Just jumping back in isn’t an option right now.
