Comment on China calls for Maduro’s immediate release, accuses US of breaching international law
Socialism_Everyday@reddthat.com 2 days agoYeah, western European nations literally colonized the vast majority of land surface of the planet, including almost the entirety of the Americas and Africa, and almost the entirety of Asia, together with the entirety of Australia and most of Oceania.
What’s your point?

“Most of Europe” only if you to it by area. Europe has 30+ countries, less than half have been colonizers. If you count Russia, France UK, Belgium, Netherlands Germany, Spain and Portugal, they are surely most of area, not most of the countries.

That’s also the vast majority of the population of Europe, a much more significant metric than number of countries. You’re also forgetting Italy’s activities in North Africa, Austria and Hungary’s activities during the Austrohungarian empire…

Still it half of countries.
Also, how many of them keep colonies? Basically only Russia, unless you count the small islands France and UK keep (which local support).
China is still occupying Tibet and genociding Uygurs. So it’s not only the US, bad countries have always and will continue to do the same thing.

Can’t believe libs like you will still claim that there’s a genocide in Xinjiang after seeing what a real genocide looks like in Gaza. The reeducation camps are closed since 2022 and you guys will still do genocide amelioration of real genocides by calling the Xinjiang problems a genocide. You clearly don’t give a fuck about the Uyghur and you’re weaponizing them, otherwise you would have read the news for the past 3 years and learned that the reeducation camps (again, not genocide) are closed.
As for Tibet: Tibet was literally a feudal kingdom where 80% of the population were literal starving peasants bound to their lord’s land by law. China liberated the region, and there is no meaningful opposition to the Chinese government in Tibet, the only claims of “occupation” come from the Tibet Government in Exile, which is literally identical to a hypothetical in which Marie Antoinette fleed France during the French revolution and their heirs claimed sovereignty over the country.
