Comment on UK ‘not entirely clear’ what it means for US to ‘run’ Venezuela
Eat_Your_Paisley@lemmy.world 2 days agoI don’t need to imagine it, it’s here. There are now three spheres of influence Russian, Chinese, and American. Right now Europe has a threat on its eastern border that only Poland has prepared for. The UK, Germany, Italy, and Poland have US troops so those places will be nominally protected everyone else is fair game. It’s in Europe’s best interest to appease Trump until its MIC can replace the US as a protector and they need to do it while supporting Ukraine.

Trump doesn’t have Europe best interest in mind. Europe is a super power and a sphere of influence on their own. Europe don’t need protection especially against Russia who is much weaker in every aspect than Europe. Weak leadership and lack of discipline is what keeps holding Europe back, not the military.
