Jesus didn’t die to save anyone, he died because the Romans (colluding with corrupt Jewish religious authorities that saw from what I understand) thought he was too dangerous of an element to keep alive. And many prophets and righteous believers have suffered injustice and death at the hands of the powerful. And I’m sure he knew it would end up like this too, which makes his open preaching and “social disruption” (fucking with the money folk at the temple, for instance) even more badass (and many more fitting, positive adjectives I can’t think of right now, lol).
