Comment on Petlibro: Your Pet Feeder Is Feeding Data To Anyone Who Asks
Passerby6497@lemmy.world 3 weeks agoHonestly, if you have the money, just get a Superfeeder. I have 2 of them for my cats and I love them.
Basically, they’re like an enterprise version of a consumer grade cat feeder. Completely no nonsense, all physical adjustments, and super customizable. I have them hooked up to my home assistant install to be able to better control when the cats get fed (because the little piggies would over eat if I let them) and ensure the automations run as expected (which is great for those with pet anxiety). I’ve had mine for 4 years (and 2 sets of kitties) now, and it’s a breeze to change settings when you have to change foods, if a bit fiddly to dial in how much you’re giving them.

It hasn’t. It works using a rotating shaft and an adjustable/non fixed flap. As the shaft turns, it moves the flap and food falls into the feeding bowl.
I have 0 complaints about them, other than it doesn’t tell me when the food is low, but that’s not even close to a feature it offers.

All good, that was more a recommendation that was supposed to be at the top level
Glad you’re happy with your stop to!
