But also, there’s a vast difference between mocking the head of a party that is overwhelmingly anti-LGBTQ+ in this manner to point out their hypocrisy, versus making homophobic statements about gay men in general. This is no different from making fun of trump/JD/Rudy for the photos of them dressed in drag when the whole party is and has demonized drag queens and the art of drag.
