Because of people like you tbh. You immediately went to check my post history as some kind of a purity test and by your perspective, I failed that. Yet, making a fresh account on Lemmy is easy and in general this place is just one very tiny step away from anonymous posting. I rather lean into that anonymity as a feature, and people who don’t like it may then ask themselves how much they really value privacy, free speech, safety and whatever else - or do they just want a space where they are the ones who make the rules. The more they want the latter, the more closed off and authoritarian community they want. I know where I stand and I rather take responsibility for my own experience in so far as possible - which includes guarding my peace by using burner accounts for anything that could even remotely be considered controversial.
