Immigrant visas generally fall under 3 general categories: work, school, or marriage. There’s also an investor visa for some countries which requires a lot more money because you literally buy your way into the country.

School is the “easiest” to get your foot in assuming you can afford it.

Work is the most convenient because you get to hit the ground running (income and sometimes relocation perks). If you can get a company based there to hire you, assist with your visa application, and help you relocate, it’s much easier.

Marriage obviously is easy if you can get someone to fall in love with you.

All of these require a visa that you need to apply for. And many countries have limits/restrictions (i.e. only certain highly needed jobs are allowed and you can’t just get whatever random job).
