Comment on Self hosted music server that remembers playlist location and song time stamp
zerodawn@leaf.dance 2 days agoI opened my server via web browser and started playing music and when i opened the app on my phone it didn’t show anything as playing. Either there’s a plugin i need to install, a setting i need to change, or it’s not an option with jellyfin.

Based on some older results i’ve found jellyfin isn’t set up to save play location in songs but if you ran the music folder as audio books it will. Not sure what that’ll do in regards to meta data but it’s only half the problem. I’d just as soon give up the time stamp memory if i could get playlist save state.
