You know that every time he beats an attempt to impeach him, it just gives his base more faith in his ability to dodge bullets, right? They see it as a sign that the charges against him were bogus. Otherwise, it would have worked, right? He basically said as much on the campaign trail, and his followers are it up. It reinforces the “hoax” narrative that he likes to hide behind.

So, why would Democrats keep giving him wins like that, when they know that’s all that’s going to happen?
