First you must answer the most important question:
Do you want working on your 3D printer as a hobby or 3d printing as a hobby? Both are perfectly valid, it’s just about personal preference.

I want 3d printing as a hobby and less tinkering. I have 500 to 1000 dollar budget. What’s that get me?

As much hate as they get for their recent Apple-like behavior, Bambu is kinda the king of “it just works” right now. An A1 or A1 mini offer spectacular performance for the price for people who want to just start printing stuff.
If you want something enclosed for printing more advanced materials, however, there is more competition on the pricing front.

Right now ? Bambulab.
But if you can wait a bit more until this releases and gets reviews you might make a better purchase. I don’t have this printer but tool changing would be a considerable upgrade from Bambulab’s AMS system.

I also heard Qidi is good and Prusa Core one.

Qidi had some reliab ility issues, Prusa is good 👌
