chloroken@lemmy.ml 1 day agoI mean, cockroaches are largely decomposers with photophobia. There isn’t much need to fly when you live in cramped, dark spaces. That doesn’t mean they don’t have the ability, which is what I’m contesting.

Yeah. Most Mexican cockroaches don’t give a flying patootie about light. Some scramble but you’ll see them during day and they will fly straight at your face. They’re wicked fast and hard to kill too. And they make noise. They’re in a class of their own.
