At this point just let the end times come. We’re finished. We’ll go through an extinction event, and whatever is leftover can start new. Hopefully the next race of human-like creatures that are born from the ashes (assuming the planet doesn’t turn into Mars) have enough sense to not do what we did.

Ah, the “let the end times come” generations who still want to be cared for when they get old by younger generations.
Yes, this is pretty infuriating. We’re so to say at peak humanity. We have more wealth, knowledge, freedom and leisure time than most people before and after us. And while the people before and after us struggle and fight to survive, we have the paradoxical luxury to lean back, pretending there’s nothing worth fighting for.
While scientists tell us every tenth of a degree matters, and +2.7°C is still much better than +3.2°C (imaginary numbers).
