Look, you do see how literally anyone could have a conversation about modern medicine leading to longer lifespans, right? Y’all are only making a big deal about it because it’s the two people you hate the most talking about it. The “journalist” reporting it like this is disingenuous at best, so when you shared it here, as if it was news, that makes you look bad. You get that, right?

- When two autocrats that have immense power talk about it it has a bit different meaning than two random people on street.
- I disagree with some of Xi’s policies, but I don’t hate him. On the other hand, war crimial Putin belongs in jail.
- Where did you see it being reported as “disingenuous”? As the article mentioned it was " <…> providing a rare glimpse into a candid conversation usually hidden from public view.".
- I post what I find interesting, not what someone else thinks I should post. This community is built around not censoring any point of view, no matter how it makes someone else feel. From one extreme to the other extreme and everything in between is allowed here and people can decide for themselves what to think and how to interpret the news.

It’s disingenuous because it’s not news. It’s conflating a benign conversation as scandalous simply because of who’s doing the talking. You going to post their coffee order next?
BrikoX@lemmy.zip 4 weeks ago
Lets agree to disagree. Just because you read it as scandalous doesn’t mean everyone else is.
