Hollow Knight is just one of the few cases of just an incredible game, well liked, by a studio looking out for their customers and not being greedy fuck heads. The original comment has no place for many reasons. The hype is there because it is earned for sure.

It is sad that there are such few cases in an industry that could be so artistic! I wanna make it clear that I do have a lot of respect for indie Devs like Team Cherry for the way they’re working and the way they’re not exploiting their fans.
I have no strong feelings on whether this game, or Hollow Knight, are overhyped and I know they’re beloved. I enjoyed Hollow Knight.
I also do understand being sceptical of “beloved” products. There’s a lot of sneaky marketing tactics out there. I’m very anti-advertising, so I know I’m biased and probably a little paranoid lol
I’m absolutely not saying Team Cherry is doing some sneaky grassroots marketing campaign or anything, and I do believe that Silksong has a lot of people excited which is why we’re seeing so much chatter about it! We are not disagreeing.
