Government spending continues to increase, they cut taxes for the rich increasing deficit further, American securities already deeply unpopular due to rise in fascism (particularly Trump's attempt to reform the Fed / Board of Governors), so further loss of revenue (tariffs are a tax) could theoretically tip the USA over the edge and cause everybody to drop US Commerce (the USA's major product is financial services) and make the dollar near worthless (supply and demand affects the dollar too).
