Maybe one or 2% of the absolute stupidest of those people were real. The rest of them were all trolls and plants trying to stoke division and anger. The best thing you can possibly do is stop talking about them, and when they show up in these chats, just completely ignore them. Or respond with completely irrelevant memes.

Even the one or 2% that were real were never going to join your side, and they won’t now. They’re incapable of understanding shame, responsibility, or the consequences of their actions. There’s no point in continuing to be salty about them any more than being angry about animals doing what they do.
