Comment on I got a VPO against me, how fucked am I?
litchralee@sh.itjust.works 6 days agoWith no other info, I think the only advice available is that you should consult a lawyer for their advice. We neither know your legal jurisdiction, nor the timeline between “trying to get an abusive TTI investigated” and “I got a VPO against me”.
The details in-between matter, but ultimately, if you’re subject to any type of restraining order, that will be controlling for whatever actions it prohibits you from doing. And the only way to lift that is to seek a lawyer’s help to challenge it in court.

I can’t afford a lawyer. So it looks like my options are to become an hero.

Some law firms will offer free initial consultations. Ask around, see what some may offer

I have. I’ve spent a whole fucking year trying.
My ex got to torture me and kick me out of my house, there was no “free legal consultation” then.
I am so fucking sick of people pretending that help exists, and it makes me want to off myself publicly so people know it doesn’t and they’ll shut the fuck up. The US is fucking broken.

No they wont lol. Killing yourself will accomplish literally nothing. In fact, it would make things worse cause of all the fuckers that want you dead. Keep living to spite them, it’s what I do.
