jmcs@discuss.tchncs.de 1 year agoHis claims regarding psychology and psychiatrists are also dubious at best. There are plenty of medical doctors in the US that are COVID deniers, for example. There are a few biologists that deny evolution and are creationists. Helping them pull an appeal to authority, instead of having proper moderation, is not going to make things better.

What you’ll find is a moderate stance on the business practices or implementation of covid measures. In the U.S you will lose your license for practicing alternative-medicine. Dr.Oz for example, gets to keep practicing because it’s free speech, he is not giving care or selling his own products. Nothing can keep him from saying a pill is a magic cure for weight loss. If he were to prescribe these to people, or even deny real medicine/science, he would be in trouble. It’s hard to make these cases like Oz because he knows exactly how to skirt the law, and even before congress had to admit these are just beliefs.
If OZ were to go on youtube and deny covid outright, he would likely be in big trouble.
