mannycalavera@feddit.uk 4 weeks agoThat the author lied about her past and the story in order to sell the book and film. Turns out she defrauded another couple. That and when they promoted the film they went all holier than thou with the marketing. Turns out it was all bullshit.

Yeah, I read about it, completely scummy couple, bunch of grifters. Stole/embezzled a lot of money off people who knew them/tried to help.
