Comment on Software engineering may have been one of the few modern engineering roles that combine both engineering (designing) tasks and technical craftsmanship (coding) tasks. Maybe until LLMs gets perfected.

I would rather compare my point to the mechanical engineer who designs the mechanical system and the factory worker who actually builds the system with their hands.
