1984@lemmy.today 1 day agoIts more of an attitude than a stare I think. A few days ago i went into Bauhaus to get some stuff and the yen z people in customer support was so bored out of their minds. They hated being alive and doing stupid trivial shit to help customers like me. I understand it. Pay is probably awful and they waste their best days of their lives sitting in that place working for a corporation.
I kind of like the attitude they have.

That attitude isn’t new. It’s existed for decades in those types of roles. The difference is that Gen Z doesn’t give a shit about hiding it anymore, regardless of what management wants.
