MrKaplan@lemmy.world 1 week agonobody needs to move to another platform. both lemmy and piefed show the same content, think of it more like using a different client that also has different features. both lemmy.world and piefed.world will continue to exist.

Decoupling identity from the instance is really important. It’s unfortunate that that’s not yet possible…
My identity = who I am. The instances are just services that I use. I should be able to use the same identity while accessing different services.
