Comment on Chocolate chip is a great cookie, but only if it's melty. If it's crunchy, it's just an average cookie.

Right, that’s their point. Chocolate chip cookies can be made to be chewy when cold instead of melted, in which case they’re still much better than crunchy chocolate chip cookies.
