Fizz@lemmy.nz 4 days agoI’m already paying my instance and lemmy and kinda loyal to it. I’d alsp like to properly support the software i use before trying to support content creators. One day in the future something like communick would be appealing.
The website says 20% of the profit is donated? Does that mean to charities?

Not charities, the underlying projects. I am pledging to donate 20% of the profits to Mastodon, Lemmy, Matrix Foundation, Funkwhale, GoToSocial, Pixelfed, etc.
For that to happen Communick needs first to turn a profit, though.
