Comment on Japanese Newspaper Gigazine goes over the slow decline of technological freedom up to today.

I didn’t take my time to read this with my full attention, I’ll be the first to admit; But I think this article is being way too dramatic and paranoid. And thats coming from somebody certifiably overdramatic and paranoid.

Also, is this just a “stole this topic from xyz social media” article but from Hacker News instead of Reddit?

So like how news outlets repost AP articles. Gigazine links to the original blog post. That’s better then most news outlets.

but it quickly devolves into baseless, referenceless speculation.

Gazoche’s blog post and Gigazine article are open about that part is wildly speculative and hypothetical.
