Comment on minor tomfoolery š»šØš¶
Hoimo@ani.social āØ1ā© āØmonthā© agoIf you donāt want to swear, donāt swear. Mildly censoring a swear word to āf*ckā doesnāt accomplish anything. Everyone who reads it knows exactly what it says. And if you go far enough to make it unrecognizable, like ā!@#*ā, now youāre just pretending to swear, but for what purpose? Couldnāt you accomplish your goals by rephrasing to avoid a swear word entirely? (Assuming your goal is to avoid swear words, of course. If the goal is to sound like a cartoon character, consider taking up a funny catch phrase.)

What if I donāt ānot want to swearā, what if I want to used self-censored curse words? Should I sacrifice my freedom of speech to appease others?

What is your point? You donāt want to swear, but you donāt not want to swear either? Maybe sort out your beliefs then.

Iāve got my beliefs sorted, I want to be able to express myself however I choose. Including using censored curse words if I so choose.
And my point is, as Iāve said a few times, that I find it funny how censorship has gone from āpoliteā to āoffensiveā.
