Comment on If you see a bunch of otherwise normal people with the same odd behavior then you are probably seeing the effects of a marketing campign. The effects can last for years, even decades.

Thats plain wrong. If or if not to go 170 is another question, but bikes weight nothing compared to cars, reaching that speed does not require a 30k bike at all.
