Then you should check out some trailers and other threads online about it. I can’t really describe it well unless you’ve played Cloudpunk, which this is a sequel to.
It takes place in a vertical cyberpunk city with flying cars and holo-highways and just a whole cool-ass vibe.
Edit: I’m in a better place now to put my thoughts into words. Cloudpunk/Nivalis Nights take place in the last major city of humanity on Earth: Nivalis. It’s a miles-tall vertical city with a lot of cool worldbuilding in its history and lore in-game. Cloudpunk has a voxel-based graphics/art style and an open world you’re able to explore in your flying car (called a HOVA), with different districts being different tiers of the city, and many places for you to park and explore on foot and take in the immaculate vibes of the city. You can even buy different vehicles to drive, with different upgrades like armor or speed. There’s a DLC that I admittedly haven’t played even though I bought it out of support for the devs, in hopes to see this release someday, but I’ve heard it’s even bigger than the base game with even more mechanics.
Nivalis Nights is more a slice-of-life sim where you run a ramen shop in one of the lower districts, and perform different tasks or activities to keep it afloat/popular, and there’s even fishing. The graphics are still somewhat voxel, but the art is much deeper and more detailed this time as it’s in a first-person POV as opposed to third person from the first game (though they did add a first-person mode in a future update so you could see the city in more detail).
You know... I was taking a look through my steam library and saw Cloudpunk and said to myself "yeah I remember playing this game, but it feels like buying it was kind of a mistake." I don't know the voxel aesthetic didn't really do it for me. But I loved the lighting and the 3D space itself.
Do you think that this game could make me reconsider that stance?

Probably. It’s much more detailed this time around and feels a bit more like a place rather than a bunch of voxels stuck together
