Comment on the top filament is a regular filament that looks like every filament I have ever extruded. the bottom filament is a glossy gold extruded with the same nozzle. why is it so much thicker?

Ive seen silk filament do this when purged. The pet outer layer formed a sack and the pla inside expanded it. That being said it does look like 3mm filament from the spool.
