I was born in Guangzhou, PRC. I immigrated to the US when I was a kid. I don’t see many of my (ethnically Chinese) relatives behaving “improperly” in the US. Most of my interactions in NYC Chinatown and Ohilly Chinatown was fine. Not sure what you mean by “improper” behavior. Any examples of such “improper” behavior?
So you are assuming every Chinese person acts this way?
You could nitpick one example of a person in every racial/ethnic group doing something bad, it doesn’t mean that every member of that racial/ethnic group does that.
Bad news dominate headlines, do you think journalists will write about people behaving normally?

This is a funny mental image.
“Breaking news: Man gets normal sized plate a buffet. More at 11.”
Front of a newspaper in giant bold font:
“MAN TAKES NORMAL ROUTE HOME FROM WORK”
