irmadlad@lemmy.world 3 weeks agohmmmm. Wouldn’t you have to remove the Debian kernal and use the Proxmox kernal? Sorry, not trying to be obtuse, I just have never installed Proxmox ‘on top’ of Debian. I always opted for the clean install.

Yes, but that’s a supported way to install Proxmox.

It’s also, I find, much more widely supported on a wider variety of hardware and with easier config automation.
