Comment on Bamboo princess

The tale, which I am sure it’s a distorted folk story, is about greed, and it’s consequences.
Everything you hold dear, will be taken away if you don’t cherish and nurture back.
I did the bookworm thing.
I couldn’t find any hidden message or meaning, but it was entertaining nonetheless. Bamboo cutter took good care of her. He also asked her very politely to marry someone and were reasonable. Knights were dishonest, but one could say they were like so out of desperation: they loved her so much and couldn’t give up right away.
As I see it, princess would have to come back to the moon eventually, regardless of what she did. But it was dishonest of her to give knights impossible tasks instead of just saying she doesn’t want to marry anything. She treated the emperor somewhat good.
