Comment on Internet forums are disappearing because now everything is Reddit and Discord. And that's worrying.
taiyang@lemmy.world 2 weeks agoI’m not convinced at least half of those communities trust Reddit and Discord enough to leave forums, but then again I stopped using them mostly because I haven’t had time for those hobbies. My emulation groups are still active on forums, at least.

a lot of them died because they never bring in new people and people leave for a variety of reasons.
