PiJiNWiNg@sh.itjust.works 3 weeks agoI see your point, though I wouldn’t necessarily view society, or a “toxic culture”, as the medium, but rather a group of individuals who share similar generational trauma/nurturing. Another way to look at it would be that a Global/National/Regional/Familial "culture is the equivalent to Class/Order/Family/Genus in my example.
What I find interesting about generational trauma/nurturing, is that it usually evolves independent of our blood relations. Friends, teachers, community leaders, etc., each have their own level of influence on both individuals, and the broader culture, which often produces downstream effects for later generations.
