Comment on Is there a Lemmy equivalent of "r/bestofredditorupdates"?
Die4Ever@programming.dev 1 day agoIDK, people will probably eventually leave Reddit, as they left Digg and Myspace and many others. Where would they go aside from the Fediverse? Almost all new alternatives being built are using the Fediverse, and it’s the only way to get more than 1000 users currently.

There’s no reason to believe they will move on to another version of reddit. There’s no reason to believe they will interact with the fediverse.

Well yeah some of the people, but I think the majority (or at least a large portion of them) will want a similar alternative to switch to
