Across Mexico, more than 100,000 people are registered as disappeared. But that figure could be an undercount, given that many fear to report cases to the authorities.

This is why the current government is aiming to dismantle every organisation that keeps track and those who ask for transparency, just like with covid, it’s easier to silence and hide everything than to actually do something for the country.
