Dendrites usually puncture the membrane that separates the dielectrica. Im not sure that would be repairable at all.

I understand that only happens after a lot of aging and if we address the buildup before that time there will be no damage to the separating membrane

That would make sense. Like running a maintenance cycle on the battery pack regularly. Like descaling the coffee maker.
